MESSAGE FROM REV. FATHER NICOLA

Everyone is invited
Saint Luke chapter 14 verse 16 to 24
That servant came, and reported to his LORD these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
And the servant said, LORD, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
And the LORD said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
***so the answer is....
None of those men - This cannot be understood as meaning that no "Jews" or gentiles would be saved, but that none of those who had "treated him, in that manner" - none who had so decidedly rejected the offer of the Holy Gospel - would be saved.
We may here see how dangerous it is "once" to reject the Holy Gospel; how dangerous to grieve away the Holy Spirit. How often Our LORD forsakes forever the sinner who has been once awakened, and who grieves the Holy Spirit.
The invitation is full and free; but when it is rejected, and people turn away from it, the LORD JESUS Our GOD leaves them to their chosen way, and they are drowned in destruction and perdition. How important, then, is it to embrace the Holy Gospel "at once;" to accept the Gracious invitation, and enter without delay the path that conducts to heaven.

May the Blessing of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST His Holy Mother Theotokos and the Blessing of Saint Luke be with you and protect you always Amen.

MESSAGE FROM REV. FATHER NICOLA

Living as those Made Alive in CHRIST.
Saint Paul to the Colossians 3:1 to 6
Since, then, you have been raised with CHRIST, set your hearts on things above, where CHRIST is, seated at the right hand of GOD.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with CHRIST in GOD. When CHRIST, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in Glory.
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of GOD is coming.
***so the answer is......
GOD wants you to keep seeking heavenly things because you have been raised with CHRIST, in verse 1.
You have been raised with CHRIST.
1 But, for someone to have been raised, he must have first died . . .
2 Where, then, did you die?
When was it that you died?
You died when your baptized in the font { water font } by the
Priest and you were raised after you have received the
Holy baptism and excepted the LORD JESUS as your
LORD and Savior.
In order to appear with Our LORD in Glory in verse 4 you must
put away the earthly nature in verse 5 other wise the
LORD JESUS cannot live in your home or life.

May the Blessing of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST His Holy Mother Theotokos and the Blessing of all the Saints be with you and protect you always Amen.

MESSAGE FROM REV. FATHER NICOLA
The LORD JESUS Raises a Widow's Son
Saint Luke chapter 7:11 to 14
Soon afterward the LORD JESUS went to a town called Nain, and his Disciples and a great crowd went with him. As He drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. And when the LORD Saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep." Then He came up and touched the Bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, "Young man, I say to you, arise.
***so the answer is....... CHRIST showed both his pity and his power in raising him to life,
See how tender His Compassion's are towards the afflicted when the LORD Saw the poor widow following her son to the grave, he had compassion on her. Here was not application made to him for her, not so much as that he would speak some words of comfort to her, but from the goodness of his nature, he was troubled for her. He said unto her, Weep not. What a pleasing idea does this give us of the compassion's of the LORD JESUS, and the multitude of his tender mercies, which may be very comfortable to us when at any time we are in sorrow!
CHRIST Said, Weep not; and He could give her a reason for it which no one else could: "Weep not for a dead son, for he shall presently become a living one." Yet there is a reason common to all that sleep in the LORD JESUS, that they shall rise again, shall rise in Glory.
May the Blessing of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST His Holy Mother Theotokos and the Blessing of Saint Luke be with you and protect you Always Amen.

MESSAGE FROM REV. FATHER NICOLA

The Good Soil
Saint Luke chapter 8:12,13,14,15
This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the Word of GOD. Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the Word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the Word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life's worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.
***so the answer is......Saint Luke adds to the hearing of the Word, the desire to retain the Word in the heart and then, by persevering produce a crop. We have all known people who hear a thing one minute and have forgotten it the next! The fact that they may even have agreed with what they had heard is of little significance, because they just as quickly forgot it. Saint Luke reminds us that this will not produce a good crop in our lives - We MUST retain in our hearts what we have heard and then persevere in the understanding and the application of the Word in our lives.
GOD sows many seeds in our lives of things that He wants us to be and to do. But growing and developing those seeds requires diligence and perseverance on our part.
Perseverance may not sound like a very attractive option for the Christian walk - but in reality it's the only way that the work of the Kingdom will ever produce the fruitfulness that GOD looks for from the seeds that He sows.
May the Blessing of Our LORD JESUS CHRIST His Holy Mother Theotokos and the Blessing of Saint Luke be with you and protect you always Amen.
